Opt-Out / Data Usage Request

Atrook Limited takes your privacy seriously. This page explains how you can control how we use your personal data, how to submit an opt-out or data request, what to expect after submission, and the legal rights you may have under data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

What this page is for

Use this page to:

  • Opt out of personalized (targeted) advertising and marketing.

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

  • Request we stop profiling or using your data for automated decision making.

  • Request that we delete your personal data (where permitted).

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data.

Who can use this page

This page is intended for individuals whose personal data we process in connection with our website, products, services, orders, or marketing activities. If you are submitting a request on behalf of someone else (e.g., a minor or a client), please include proof of authorization.

How to submit a request

You may submit a request in one of the following ways:

  1. Complete the form on this page (preferred) — we will respond by email.

  2. Send an email to: contact@atrook.com with subject Opt-Out Request — [Your Full Name]. Include the details listed below.

  3. Phone: +1 181 321 41322 (for verification / support only — written requests are required for audit).

  4. Mail: Atrook Limited, 3 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers, Poole, England (for formal/legal correspondence).

Information to include in your request
To help us process your request promptly, include:

  • Full name and contact email used with us.

  • Any order number(s) or account reference(s).

  • The country or region where you reside.

  • The specific request type (e.g., “Delete my data”, “Stop targeted ads”, “Do not sell my personal information”).

  • Any additional details that help locate your data (dates, product names, transaction IDs).

  • If you are an authorized agent, please attach proof of authorization.

Identity verification

To protect against unauthorized requests, we may require reasonable verification of your identity before we complete certain requests (for example, deletion or access requests). Verification methods may include:

  • Confirmation via the email address on file.

  • A copy of a government ID with sensitive elements redacted (we’ll give instructions and accept redacted IDs).

  • For order-related requests: provide the order number and matching billing details.

We will only request the minimum information necessary to verify identity. If you do not want to provide ID, we will attempt alternative verification methods, but this may delay or limit our ability to act on the request.

How we handle different request types

Stop personalized ads / Stop profiling
We will stop using personal data for targeted advertising and profiling to the extent technically and contractually possible (for example, if a third-party advertising partner has already performed profiling, we will notify them of your opt-out request but cannot retroactively erase profiling executed by them).

Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information
If you request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, we will mark your profile accordingly and notify relevant partners. Note: definitions of “sale” or “sharing” vary by law (e.g., CCPA). If additional steps are required for specific integrations, we will explain them.

Deletion (Right to be forgotten)
We will delete your personal data from production systems and services we control, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records, transaction logs), for fraud prevention, or where we must retain limited administrative records for legal compliance. We may also keep anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you.

Data access / Portability
Upon request, we will provide a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a commonly used, machine-readable format where technically feasible. The response will include the categories of data, sources, recipients, retention periods, and any automated decision-making logic used.

Correction
We will correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data upon request.

Processing time & communication

  • We aim to acknowledge receipt of your request within 3 business days.

  • We will complete most requests within 30 calendar days. If we need more time (up to an additional 60 days under certain laws), we will inform you and explain why.

  • If we cannot comply with your request, we will provide a reason and, where applicable, information about how to appeal or seek a regulator’s help.

Exceptions & legal limitations

There are circumstances where we cannot fully comply with a request, for example when:

  • A legal obligation requires retention (tax, financial regulation, litigation hold).

  • We need to keep data for fraud prevention, network security, or to enforce legal claims.

  • The data contains information about other individuals that cannot be deleted without their consent, in which case we will consult or minimize access where possible.

Third parties and partners

We share customer information with service providers and partners (payment processors, shipping, cloud services, analytics and advertising partners). When you submit an opt-out or deletion request, we will:

  • Apply the request to data we control directly.

  • Notify third parties where contractual or technical controls allow.

  • Document the request and the third parties notified.

California (CCPA / CPRA) rights (if applicable)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA including the right to:

  • Know categories of personal information collected and sold/shared.

  • Request disclosure of specific pieces of personal information.

  • Request deletion of personal information (subject to exceptions).

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

  • Not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

To exercise CCPA rights, please specify in your request that you are submitting a CCPA request and provide the address where you reside.

European Union (GDPR) rights (if applicable)

If you are an EU resident, the GDPR may grant you rights including:

  • Access to your personal data.

  • Rectification of inaccurate data.

  • Erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”) in certain cases.

  • Restriction of processing.

  • Data portability.

  • Object to processing, including for direct marketing.

  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

If you make a GDPR request, please indicate this in your submission and include the country where you reside.

Automated decisions and profiling

You may request not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, if such decisions produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you. Where feasible, we will provide meaningful information about the logic involved and how to request human review.

Security & data minimization

We retain the minimal amount of data necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, or protect the company and our users from fraud and abuse. Data transmissions and storage are protected according to industry best practices.

Record-keeping and audit trail

We keep an internal audit trail of opt-out and data requests, including:

  • Date of the request and identity verification steps.

  • Actions taken and the date of completion.

  • Any third parties notified.
This audit trail is retained for compliance and to demonstrate lawful handling.
